Final Evaluation of the USAID-funded peacebuilding project “Zo Kwe Zo” (2018)
The “Zo Kwe Zo” project, funded by USAID, was implemented by Search for Common Ground (“Search”) in collaboration with the Association of Women Communication Professionals in the cities of Bangui, Bangassou and Bossangoa in the Central African Republic, from October 2015 to November 2017.
The objective of the project was to prevent intercommunity violence and support an inclusive peacebuilding process in CAR, by (a) increasing the participation of young and diverse men and women in the process, (b) increasing representation of non-violent and collaborative voices in the media, (c) enhancing the capacity of non-state institutions to support a transition process in the areas, and (d) strengthening the capacities of Search’s partners to implement activities that contributed to bringing the conflict stakeholders closer together.
CMC carried out the final evaluation of the project with data collection being carried out in collaboration with Cabinet TECNIC from Bangui. The evaluation entailed a systematic analysis of the relevance, effectiveness, impact, and sustainability of the intervention, with data being collected for the project indicators, providing lessons learned and recommendations for Search and USAID regarding effectiveness, relevance, and impact of the project to inform the implementation of future projects.
